Worshipping With Children

Children are always welcome in worship at First United Methodist Church! Each Sunday Worship Service includes a children's sermon - a special time devoted to nurturing our young ones in faith and helping them realize each one of them is important in the life of the church and special in the eyes of God. To help the children worship, there are worship packets available for use in the pew or the Family Room. Ask an usher for one. There are packets for two age groups: Toddlers to second grade Third grade and up For your convenience we have a "Family Room" adjacent and open to the sanctuary, providing . . . Easy access to changing table Rockers for parents with infants Easy access to bathroom Playpen Soft (quiet) toys Full view of choir and pulpit Families with small children are with us, but near what they may need. Alternatively, parents may avail themselves of professional child care during the morning worship. Childcare is also available during many church functions, so that parents with young children may participate more fully in the life of the church.
